6 Best Zernio Alternatives Priced at 5, 20 and 100 Accounts
Most Zernio alternatives pages are written by a vendor who wants your migration, and they tend to price Zernio at whichever account count makes their own product look best.
So I did the boring thing instead. I priced six tools at three account counts, 5, 20 and 100, using each vendor's live rate card on August 14, 2026, with every pricing page switched to monthly billing.
The cheapest option changes four times between 5 accounts and 100, because every flat plan has a tier cliff waiting for you. That is the whole story, and it is why a single winner does not exist here.
Conflicts up front. Blotato is my daily driver, it is a client of mine, my account is comped, and its links here are affiliate links. I have no relationship with any other tool on this list.
One boundary I want to be straight about. I run Blotato in production every week and I have used Zernio, Upload-Post, Postiz and Buffer directly. Ayrshare and bundle.social I have set up and evaluated but never run at scale, so I priced those from their published rate cards and say so in their entries.
I am not a developer, and I picked these apart the way a marketer does, by connecting accounts and watching what the bill did. That turned out to be the part most of these pages get wrong.
The Number That Decides This
Zernio charges per connected account, per month. The first 2 are free, accounts 3 through 10 cost $6 each, 11 through 100 cost $3, and anything past 101 costs $1.
One connected profile on one platform is one account. Your Instagram and your TikTok is two, not one.
Run that curve and the shape appears. Five accounts is $18 a month. Twenty is $78. One hundred is $318.
Zernio is the cheapest option on this page through 6 accounts, and most alternatives pages skip that sentence because it costs them the sale. At 7 accounts Blotato takes over by a dollar, which is a rounding error rather than a reason to move. The gap only becomes real money past 20.
There is a second limit worth knowing before you price anything, because it quietly multiplies your account count. Zernio's own documentation states that each profile holds one account per platform, so running ten Instagram accounts means ten profiles, not one profile with ten connections.
The product itself holds up better than its marketing does, and I fact-checked its loudest claim in my full Zernio review.
Zernio Alternatives Compared at 5, 20 and 100 Accounts
All prices are monthly billing, checked live on each vendor's own pricing page on August 14, 2026. Where a page defaulted to annual billing, I switched it to monthly first, which changes the number on Buffer and Upload-Post.
| Tool | Cost at 5 | Cost at 20 | Cost at 100 | Billing unit | Writes the post |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zernio | $18/mo | $78/mo | $318/mo | Per connected account | No |
| Blotato | $29/mo | $29/mo | $499/mo | Flat, by plan tier | Yes |
| Upload-Post | $24/mo | $50/mo | $438/mo | Per profile | Captions only |
| Postiz cloud | $29/mo | $49/mo | $99/mo | Per channel tier | AI assist |
| bundle.social | $100/mo | $100/mo | $100/mo | Per organization | No |
| Ayrshare | $149/mo | $299/mo | $299/mo | Per customer profile | No |
| Buffer | $30/mo | $100/mo | $245/mo | Per channel | AI assist |
Two columns in that table do more work than the prices. The billing unit tells you which direction your bill moves as you grow, and whether the tool writes the post tells you if you are buying one service or two.
1. Blotato (Best for one agent that writes and publishes)

Blotato is the one I actually run. It publishes to 9 platforms from one hosted API and MCP server, and it generates the copy and the image before it posts, which is why I stopped orchestrating two services. The long version of that story is in my Blotato review.
Pros:- Flat pricing, so 20 accounts costs the same as 3 on the $29 Starter tier
- Writes the post and makes the image, no separate content service to maintain
- 35 MCP tools on one endpoint, so an agent can run the whole loop in one conversation
- 9 platforms, fewer than Zernio reaches, with no Discord, Telegram or WhatsApp
- Comments and DMs reach Instagram and Facebook only, and analytics skips LinkedIn
- No free tier, and the 7-day trial excludes the API entirely
Best for: Anyone who wants an AI agent to write and publish in one step, at 10 to 20 accounts.
Pricing: Starter $29/mo (20 accounts), Creator $97/mo (40), Agency $499/mo (100). Monthly billing, flat.
Free trial: 7 days with 60 AI credits, card required. Generating an API key ends the trial and starts the paid subscription, so API users should plan to subscribe rather than trial.
Bottom line: If 9 platforms cover your stack and you are anywhere from 7 to 20 accounts, Blotato is the lowest bill in this table and the only one bundling content generation into it. At 6 accounts or fewer on platforms Zernio already covers, staying put is the better call.
2. Postiz (Best for the lowest bill at 100 channels)

Postiz is open source, and its cloud pricing is the lowest at the top end of this list. At 100 channels it is $99 against Zernio's $318, with bundle.social's flat $100 sitting a dollar behind it.
Pros:- $99 for 100 channels, roughly a third of Zernio at the same count
- Open source, so self-hosting removes the recurring bill for teams willing to run it
- Reaches destinations the big APIs skip, including Mastodon and Discord
- Self-hosting trades the bill for maintenance, and the setup docs are candid about the platform approvals involved
- AI features assist with copy rather than producing finished posts
- The cheapest tier covers 5 channels, so small setups see no saving over Zernio
Best for: Agencies running many channels who want a predictable ceiling.
Pricing: Standard $29/mo (5 channels), Team $39 (10), Pro $49 (30), Ultimate $99 (100). Self-hosting is free.
Free trial: 7 days on the cloud plans. Self-hosting is free and needs no card.
Bottom line: Postiz is the cheapest hosted option here from 21 to 30 channels and again past 40, so if cost per channel decides it and you do not need generated content, this is the switch. I run the cloud version rather than self-hosting, and I wrote up why that $0 self-hosted number is not really $0.
3. Upload-Post (Best for platform breadth per dollar)

Upload-Post reaches more platforms than anything else on this page, and it has a genuine free tier with no card. Watch the pricing toggle, because the page opens on annual and shows $16 where the monthly rate is $24.
Pros:- The widest platform list here, including Reddit, Discord, Telegram and Mastodon
- Free tier gives 2 profiles and 10 uploads a month, no card required
- Whitelabel integration from the $50 tier, useful if you resell publishing
- The unit is profiles, not accounts, so comparing it to Zernio needs care
- Posting links on X costs an extra $19/mo on top of any plan
- Extra profile packs do not stack, so you buy one bundle or the next tier
Best for: Publishing to platforms the mainstream APIs skip.
Pricing: Free $0 (2 profiles), Basic $24/mo (5), Professional $50 (25), Advanced $147 (75), Business $438 (225). Monthly billing.
Free trial: Yes, a permanent free tier plus trials on paid plans.
Bottom line: If you need the widest platform list in one plan, Upload-Post is the pick at $50 for 25 profiles. If you only publish to the big networks, you are paying for reach you will not use.
4. bundle.social (Best when you publish for your own customers)

bundle.social prices by publishing volume rather than by connection, and its paid plans place no cap on connected accounts. For a SaaS whose customers each connect several profiles, that is a different cost curve entirely.
Pros:- Unlimited connected accounts on every paid plan, so onboarding a big customer changes nothing
- Flat $100/mo covers 10,000 posts, which is where it beats per-account billing outright
- Ships SDKs, a CLI and an MCP server for agent use
- The $100 floor is steep for small setups, with only Ayrshare starting higher
- Quotas are per organization, so heavy posting volume moves you to the $400 tier
- The free plan caps at 3 social sets (teams) and 20 posts a month
Best for: Multi-tenant products where each customer brings their own accounts.
Pricing: Free $0, Pro $100/mo, Business $400/mo, Enterprise custom. Monthly billing, per organization.
Free trial: Yes, a free plan with no payment details required.
Bottom line: From 28 accounts the flat $100 beats Zernio's curve, which reaches $102 at that count, and the gap widens with every customer you add. For a small single-brand setup it is the wrong shape entirely. I evaluated this from its rate card rather than running it in production.
5. Ayrshare (Best for embedding publishing in a product you sell)

Ayrshare starts at $149/mo, which looks indefensible next to a free tier until you read the unit. One profile is one customer across every network they connect, so a customer on six platforms counts once.
Pros:- One profile covers a customer across every network they connect, so multi-network customers do not multiply the bill
- Built for embedding, with the compliance and uptime posture that implies
- Billing stops when you delete a profile, so costs shrink when a customer churns
- $149 entry is the highest floor here by a wide margin
- Premium covers 13 accounts, so scaling means the $299 Launch tier
- Overkill for anyone publishing only their own brand
Best for: Companies putting publishing inside a product their own customers pay for.
Pricing: Premium $149/mo (up to 13 accounts), Launch $299/mo (up to 130 accounts), higher tiers on request.
Free trial: A 28-day free trial on the Launch plan.
Bottom line: The per-customer unit starts to make sense when each customer connects several networks, and is hard to justify before that. I set this up and priced it from the published card rather than running it at scale, so treat my read as documentation analysis. I went deeper in my Ayrshare comparison.
6. Buffer (Best for a dashboard your team already knows)

Buffer is the option a marketing team will actually adopt without training, and it does now ship an API and an MCP server, which is a change most comparison pages have not caught up with.
Pros:- Free plan covers 3 channels permanently with 10 scheduled posts each
- Per-channel rate drops to $4 from 11 channels and lower again past 26
- The interface needs no explaining to a non-technical team
- API requests are capped by plan, at 3,000 a month on Free and 7,500 on Essentials
- Per-channel billing means the bill still grows with every channel you add
- Built dashboard-first, so agent-driven publishing is not the primary path
Best for: A team that wants a calendar and a person clicking publish.
Pricing: Free $0 (3 channels), Essentials from $6/channel/mo, Team from $12/channel/mo. Confirm the toggle reads Monthly, since the page defaults to Yearly and prints the annual rate with a /month suffix.
Free trial: Yes, 14 days on paid plans, plus a permanent free tier.
Bottom line: Buffer wins when the constraint is who has to operate the thing, not what it costs per account. For a scripted or agent-driven workflow the request caps make it the wrong shape.
What About PostPeer, Postproxy and Bolta?
These three rank well for this keyword and I have not run any of them, so I am not ranking them.
PostPeer advertises a flat $43/mo with unlimited same-platform accounts. Postproxy sells predictable per-group billing with a published uptime SLA. Bolta positions around content review workflows.
On paper each targets the same complaint that drives people off per-account pricing. I have no firsthand read on how they behave once accounts are connected, and that is the part that matters, so I would rather say nothing than rank software I have not used.
How to Choose a Zernio Alternative
These are the questions I work through on every client build, in this order.
How many accounts will you connect twelve months from now? Price that number, not today's. The ranking above reorders completely between 5 and 100.
Do you need the post written, or only delivered? If something else already writes your copy, you are shopping for a publisher and half this list is overpriced for you.
Are the accounts yours or your customers'? Publishing for other people makes per-account billing the wrong shape, whatever the rate.
Which platforms are non-negotiable? One required destination outside a tool's list ends the conversation regardless of price.
Who operates it day to day? An API is worthless if the person posting wants a calendar, and a dashboard is friction if an agent does the work.
Which Should You Pick?
At 6 accounts or fewer on platforms Zernio covers, stay on Zernio.
From 7 to 20 accounts, or wanting content generated too, Blotato at $29 flat.
Past 40 channels on pure publishing, Postiz at $99 for 100.
Publishing for your own customers, bundle.social at $100 flat, or Ayrshare if each customer spans several networks.
Needing the widest platform spread, Upload-Post. Handing it to a non-technical team, Buffer.
Ryan's Final Thoughts
Zernio is a good product with a loud marketing department, and those two things are unrelated. The free tier is real and the graduated pricing is honest about what it does.
What it does is climb. That is fine at 5 accounts and expensive at 40, and where each alternative overtakes it is marked in the table above.
Count your connections, decide whether you need words or just delivery, then price the shortlist at the number you expect next year. Every figure here came off the vendors' own pricing pages on August 14, 2026, with monthly billing selected.
Zernio Alternatives FAQs
What is the best Zernio alternative?
It depends on account count. Through 6 connected accounts Zernio is cheapest and switching costs you money. From 7 to 20 accounts Blotato at $29/mo flat is the lowest bill here, and it bundles content generation. At 100 channels Postiz's $99 tier is the lowest hosted price on this list.
Is there a free Zernio alternative?
Upload-Post gives 2 profiles and 10 uploads a month with no card, Buffer covers 3 channels permanently, and bundle.social has a free plan capped at 3 social sets (teams). Postiz can be self-hosted at no license cost, and its cloud plans run a 7-day trial. Zernio's own 2 free accounts stay free with no card, though X API calls are billed as pass-through at X's own rates.
How much does Zernio cost at 100 accounts?
$318 a month. The first 2 accounts are free, accounts 3 through 10 cost $6 each, and 11 through 100 cost $3 each. Past 101 accounts the rate drops to $1. Zernio publishes these figures on its own rate card.
Do Zernio alternatives have MCP servers?
Most of them do. Blotato, bundle.social, Postiz, Ayrshare and Buffer all ship MCP servers, as does Zernio. MCP support is table stakes across this category now, so it is not a reason to pick one over another. Compare what sits behind the endpoint instead.
Is Zernio the same as Late or GetLate?
Yes. Late rebranded to Zernio without breaking its API endpoints or response schemas. Some directories still list it under the old name, so older reviews describing GetLate are describing the same product.
Why did my Zernio bill grow faster than my account count?
Each Zernio profile holds one account per platform, so ten Instagram accounts require ten profiles rather than one. Teams managing several accounts on the same network hit that multiplier without expecting it, and it is the most common reason a bill outruns the estimate.
Disclosure: some links in this post are affiliate links, specifically Blotato. If you buy through them I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Blotato is also a client of mine and my account there is comped rather than paid. I have no relationship with Zernio, Postiz, Upload-Post, bundle.social, Ayrshare or Buffer. I only recommend tools I actually use. Full disclosure.
